1. Biography, birth date, country and
state of residence
2. Significance: Describe what makes
their work significant and unique. Why
is the work well known or recognized?
3. Composition: Describe the use of
framing, perspective, contrast, balance, emphasis, lighting, etc
4. Concept/Aboutness/Idea: Describe what
the images are about. What is the
photographer trying to say through his/her images? How does the composition
support the concept? What are the
intentions in creating the images?
While researching my photographer, Hector Sos, I was able to find nothing about his personal life. He did a good job of keeping his personal life away from the public and only perceives it through his art. His art shows through how he view people, society and identity which was very eye opening on a personal level. One of his projects that he has constructed is called paper faces. The significance of this piece deals with identity. The hidden identity of people is hidden such as paper faces, literally. I feel that this may show some personal info. Maybe past experiences or memories that have impacted him negatively or positively. Sos tends to keep his composition simple, yet it adds a complex effect on his work. I feel his positioning of the people is important to the shapes on the paper used. I really like this project of his because not only does he portray his purpose, but anyone can interpret it on their own. His other pieces are just as strong, but i feel portraits of people are more successful.

Response
2. Describe some ways in which your personal culture and social environments are “constructed”.
My personal culture is constructed by my daily routines and live preferences. My choices in life and the people around me help construct my personal culture as well as the environments.
3. Describe some ways in which your physical environment/space is “constructed”.
I want to obtain a variety of space in my pictures because in my life that's how it is.
4. In your daily life, what would you consider to be “real” and what would you consider to be “constructed/fabricated”?
Real for me is the surprises in life. To where the constructed is the plans and goal you have.
5. Describe a narrative tableaux that you might create to be captured by a photograph. A narrative tableaux can be defined as “Several human actors play out scenes from everyday life, history, myth or the fantasy of the direction artist”
6.
Describe an idea for a photograph that includes a miniature stage or
still life. A description of such an image is “The tableaux reconstructs
events as in the narrative tableaux, but in miniaturized format, using
dolls and other toy objects”
3. Describe
your plans for your constructed identity project. What 4 concepts are
you exploring? How will you do so? Do you need props, costumes, models? Im trying to work with my lighting, the actual lights, portraits, and identity. I want to continue with the portraits and i actually want to use dramatic make up and pictures.
